In concrete terms, an FEM simulation uses calculations to make statements about how the physical properties of a part change (e.g. wall thickness, strength, statics) as a result of machining. A wide variety of materials, composite materials, geometries and component sizes \u2013 we are able to inspect almost any component for defects and have an extensive range of test methods at our disposal. In order to examine the expediency of a processing step under certain general conditions, various solution approaches are analysed as part of a feasibility study.
